Smile makeovers can open many doors for each individual. While they do a lot to boost a person’s confidence, they also offer many social and professional opportunities. When you feel good about yourself, you’re more likely to smile with confidence and appear more positive and enthusiastic.
Having a beautiful smile is a great way to make a good first impression or to feel comfortable in photos for special occasions. A smile makeover can also improve oral health by making one more likely to take care of their teeth to maintain that beautiful smile they worked so hard to get.
At Morrison Cosmetic Dentistry, we fully tailor your treatment plan so the number of cosmetic procedures involved is completely dependent on your goals and your budget. We have various treatments available, from teeth whitening and dental bonding to enameloplasty and veneers. Restorative treatments such as tooth-colored fillings, dental crowns, or dental implants may also be used to restore or replace damaged teeth.
Consultation - To begin with, you will come in for a consultation with Dr. Morrison. He will examine your teeth and take x-rays to ensure that you’re in good oral health. Tooth decay and gum disease must be treated before pursuing cosmetic treatment.
Candid Conversation - Dr. Morrison will discuss your goals with you, starting with what you would like to change about your smile. Some people would like to address concerns with discoloration, gaps, crooked teeth, or worn-down enamel, just to name a few. We will discuss your sedation options and budget restraints to determine what the best treatment would be for you.
Treatment Plan - After discussing your goals, aesthetic imperfections that you would like to correct, and your budget, we will formulate a customized treatment plan that will combine multiple cosmetic or restorative treatments.
This ultimately depends on the state of your teeth and how many aesthetic concerns you have that need to be corrected. Some treatments are much shorter than others. Teeth whitening, dental bonding, and tooth-colored fillings are all single-appointment procedures.
However, veneers, dental crowns, and dental implants can take multiple appointments. After taking impressions, veneers and dental crowns need to be fabricated in a dental lab which will take a few weeks. Dental implants require a waiting period of 3-6 months for osseointegration to be complete.
Ultimately, the fewer concerns you have with your teeth, the shorter the treatment process will be. Repairing damage and replacing teeth takes the most time, whereas minor procedures like teeth whitening, fillings, or dental bonding can be performed very quickly.
